My path to becoming a visual journalist began in 2008 when my high school advisor told me to drop my photography class and focus on biology honors. I refused.
After high school, I graduated with an associate’s degree in photography at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska. The program focused primarily on commercial photography. From there, I transferred to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism in 2017.
I pride myself on meshing my fine art background with photojournalism.
Once described as having a million-mile smile;
I take my "Nebraska nice" with me wherever I go.
Thanks for looking.
